Timeless designs that I like:
I adore designs that are mass-produced, purposeful at first sight, and cleverly engineered, because I like seeing good products being enjoyed by a mass amount of people.
It’s my career aspiration to work on products just like these.
Porsche 996 (1997)
Herman Miller Aeron (1994)
iPhone 4 (2010)
Opal C1 (2021)
Teenage Engineering Frekvens (2020)
iMac G4 (2002)
NASA branding (1975)
Nokia N9 (2011)
British traffic signs (1965)
Mac OS X (2001)
IBM ThinkPad 701 (1995)
Lima Watch (2014)
Designers that I look up to:
Luke Wroblewski is a globally recognised design advocate that specialises in digital interactions.
His writings and presentations brought significant influence to my work – from high level problem definition to the interaction details at the bottom level.
These skills are becoming even more relevant to AI and AR products, as they are becoming more capable at solving new problems.
Pinky Lai is an automotive designer born and raised in Hong Kong, who moved to Europe at the age of 21 for education and work.
His works include BMW E36 and Porsche 996, both cars are now regarded as modern classics.
His story inspired me to move to the UK in 2022 to broaden my horizon.
